WOOPS.. DON'T FORGET OTTUMWA.. IF THEY BEAT SC EAST THEY WILL ADD 5 POINTS TO ALL THE TEAMS THEY PLAYED
ALL TEAMS TIED WITH THE SAME AMOUNT OF POINTS WILL BROKEN BASED ON HEAD TO HEAD
TEN: wins and losses of the opponents would be totaled and whichever team has played the higher percentage of winners (figured to the nearest thousandth) will be selected
REMEMBER: THIS YEARS FINAL TIEBREAKER
the team listed LAST alphabetically will receive the play-off berth. If three schools are vying for two
berths, the LAST two alphabetically will be declared the play-off qualifiers, etc.
NOTE: For the 2008 football season, the FIRST alphabetically will be declared the play-off qualifier(s).
MAKES SENSE?? BUT HOW IS YOUR TEAM LISTED?? BETTER FIND OUT.
RULE CHANGE
REMEMBER LAST SEASON IN 1-A DISTRICT 6? MONTE. WEST BRANCH AND IC REGINA ALL TIED WITH ONE LOSS AND BEAT EACH OTHER HEAD TO HEAD.. SO IT CAME DOWN TO THE 13 POINT TIE BREAK RULE.. WHICH THE MONTEZUMA BRAVES WON.. AND WEST BRANCH HAD THE SECOND MOST POINTS..
HOWEVER THE RULES STATED THAT ONCE A DISTRICT CHAMP IS DETERMINED THE TIEBREAKER FOR 2ND PLACE GOES BACK TO HEAD TO HEAD.. SO BASICALLY WEST BRANCH’S HUGE WIN ON THE ROAD AT MONTEZUMA WAS THROWN OUT. GUESS WHAT? THAT RULE WAS CHANGED. THE BEARS WOULD HAVE MADE IT THIS YEAR.. AND THAT SAME SITUATION…
WHY BRING IT UP???
BECAUSE IN 3-A DISTRICT 7 THIS SEASON SAME SITUATION..
IF ADM, CARLISLE AND PELLA ALL WIN… AND BY 13 POINTS WE WILL HAVE THE SAME SENARIO AS 1A DISTRICT 6 LAST SEASON. IF THIS HAPPENS.. UNDER LAST YEARS RULES.. CARLISLE AND ADM WOULD BE IN… THIS SEASON CARLISLE AND PELLA WILL BE IN… THAT IS IF THE POINTS STAY THE SAME
BEFORE Friday’s Games
Carlisle 9.83
Pella 8.50
A-D-M, Adel 7.67
look at Selby's Handwritten notes!!! unreal
